The Furstrator

The Furstrator feeder is made by Vari-Craft. (You can always tell a Vari-Craft feeder because it is made out of PVC plastic and is usually white.)

I wonder if someone made a typo and meant to call it the Frustrator instead, but oh well.

This is another variation of the cage-around-a-tube-feeder method of keeping squirrels out. It is visually attractive; I always like the white feeder tube look.

It holds two quarts of bird seed and has six feeding stations.

One advantage (or disadvantage, depending on how you look at it) is that only the smaller birds can fit through the bars of the powder-coated cage. Jays and grackles won’t be able to feed

Unfortunately, it also has a seed tray at the bottom. While this is useful for catching fallen seeds, it is also handy for squirrels. My experience is that the squirrel will just hang upsidedown and eat seeds from the tray.
